I love Robert Louis Stevenson. Sometimes before a rain I take the kids' sidewalk chalk and write the words of his poem Rain on the sidewalk. Don't know if anyone stops to read it, but I have fun writing it!
Children's poetry really brings me joy.
anything ?
i'd be at the beach in seaside, florida :)
and claire....if and when i come to south africa, you will be a huge part of it....and most of the reason why in the first place....no pressure...LOL
If I could do anything right now...
I would take the hot red rash from my son's face and the warm rough bumps from his neck and arms (he has Fifth's Disease right now). If I could, I would push him on a tire swing, in the shade of a big ole tree...
That's a heart tugger, Claire ... for many reasons.
Can't see a swing without thinking of Stevenson's poem ... it's timeless.
If I could do anything--it would be to stroll the Carmel, Ca beach with my hubby. Then browse the art galleries, poke in the shops, and settle down before a soft, flickering fireplace in each other's arms. Peaceful and quiet.
I like your choice of reads. I must make time to do that.

Oh your day sounds lovely.
If I could do anything right now...it may be just what I am about to do. Pour a glass of red wine, lie on the couch beneath a cozy fleece and crack open my book club book. My husband is out tonight...kids are asleep...all is quiet, quiet.
And I'm sorry I have not yet responded to your email...I know, I am terrible! I keep wanting to wait until I have the proper amount of time for an adequate response...evidently, no such time exists. So I will respond soon, but it may be a bit slapdash (as is everything in my life these days).
I was just sitting here...and then realized I hadn't connected with YOU in forever... Glad I popped over cuz your place is a breath of fresh air :)
I would be in a hammock (sp?) with a tall glass of lemonade and a great book...
Hugs,
Bina
me too. only one thing - I prefer a glass of champagne, not a lemonade))
