have you listened to summer?

have you ever listened to summer?
noticed that she sounds different to autumn or spring?
have you allowed her into your back door?
has she played with your curtains?
have you heard how she carries the sound of laughter?

{i will not be here for a few days. i look forward to catching up with all of you again soon.}

Winter is so quiet, fall is so breezy. But summer is full of birdsong, crickets, lawn mowers, and children laughing. THe most wonderful sounding season.

She not only plays with my curtains,
but she twirls my hair.
I do hope you hear
as she calls your name
and blesses you with grace.
For it is with God's love
that she speaks the most clear.
Listen, "Claire, Claire"
floats upon the warm air.

Blessings.

i dread the coming of summer. i'm a fall girl.
your pictures, however, are helping me appreciate what she might bring me.
thank you.

Oh yes, the sounds of summer - so breezy and light and happy!

I love the sun peeping through the blossoms (cherry or flowering plum?).

summer uses a different frequency than I use. she speaks a different launguage. i smile at her. i see her move through my house, through my living room, eat watermelon at my kitchen table and smile with juice on her chin and seeds in her teeth, but mostly I don't understand her. but she is lovely.

SUmmer is the tune that my heart hears the loudest. I am a water baby and a cancer. Sooo it appeals to me in the deepest part of my mind and soul. I also get to celebrate my birthday and open presents.=) Lol. Whooo doesnt like that?

Yes, I am listening. I'm noticing how loudly the birds sing and chatter at dawn, before the sun actually tips over the horizon. Then, strangely, the moment the sky lightens, the birds quiet. Perhaps too busy hunting for worms to sing?

Hope you are enjoying your respite!

I was just pondering the same thing this evening outside in the yard. It really is amazing, isn't it?

Oh, that's so beautiful. Summer in the desert is soooo hot, I don't like to let her in my door. But I love the monsoons that roll through--only in the summer. They create drama in the sky and scenery. And I do let those in my door.

In Him,
Janis

Claire, is this the comment box you meant us to leave our Photoplay images in? Here is mine:

"Photoplay: Frame It"
(real original title, I know. :-P)

Claire, thank you for the frame challenge. You do have a way of stirring thought and creativity. Here's my offering: http://inthezeitgeist.wordpress.com

Claire, I'm leaving my link here too... even though it doesn't seem like the right spot :)

I am this way. I like everything in nice little boxes.

I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for new settings! :)

First time participating in a photoplay - and adding that I took the photos before I knew of this, so seeing different frames, cropped the photos accordingly.
