Your scalp is sturdy, enclosing intelligence, bristled with hair, peppered with grey. Your eyebrows edge towards one another, furrow and then depart, creating symmetry. Black lengthly lashes shade our eyes of blue that rest on solid cheek bones that give way to the lips that satisfy my hunger. Your neck fades into mountainous shoulders that afford a second glance. Your chest and stomach once boasted a swimmers rippled six but now in playfulness give way to good food, good friends, good times that settle in unexpected places. Your thighs are significant pillars that support your rock like calves that lead me to your feet where I find calloused heels, a family gene, in need of love. I return to your arms for it is here where I return often, time and again. Strong but gentle hands that labour for me, for us, that strum a lullaby to my hurting need and that adorn the ring which holds you to me, complete this picture.
